Telehealth Services at Triangle Primary Care Associates

Triangle Primary Care Associates is a network of board-certified doctors who can help with a wide variety of health concerns. When you can’t reach your clinic, our Telehealth Services give you direct access to your provider through secure, high-quality video visits wherever you are. Home, office, or out of town, you can still get the medical attention you need without losing time to travel or waiting rooms.

Telehealth is especially helpful for patients juggling work, family, or chronic health needs. It’s also a reliable option when symptoms appear suddenly and you need quick medical guidance.
From follow-up visits and medication changes to reviewing lab results or talking through new concerns, our clinicians give you the same careful, compassionate care you’d receive in the clinic.

We’ve also expanded our telehealth features to make every visit smoother:

  • Same-day and next-day appointments
  • Quick digital check-in and easy online forms
  • Secure prescription refills and medication management
  • Private messaging with your care team
  • Support for diabetes, hypertension, mental health, and preventive care
  • Virtual urgent-care visits for minor issues
  • Remote monitoring for blood pressure, glucose, and more

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth lets you meet with your healthcare provider using your phone, tablet, or computer. With secure, HIPAA-compliant video visits, our clinicians can assess your symptoms, manage ongoing conditions, refill prescriptions, and help you follow your treatment plan, all without leaving home.

The goals of telehealth,  also referred to as e-health or mobile health (m-health), include the following

  • Make health care easier to access for people living in rural, remote, or hard-to-reach communities.
  • Protect patients and providers by reducing in-person contact when someone has a contagious illness, such as COVID-19.
  • Provide convenient primary care for a wide range of common health concerns.
  • Increase the availability of services for individuals with limited mobility, tight schedules, or transportation challenges.
  • Connect patients with medical specialists they may not be able to see locally.
  • Strengthen communication and care coordination between a person and all members of their health care team, helping ensure smoother, more consistent care.

When Telehealth May Not Be Appropriate

Telehealth is convenient, but some problems require immediate in-person care or emergency attention. You should seek in-person or emergency care right away for:

  • New or worsening chest pain
  • Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
  • Serious, sudden, or uncontrolled injuries
  • Uncontrolled seizures
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • High fevers in young children
  • Any condition that requires a hands-on physical exam, lab work, or imaging

If you’re unsure which type of visit is right for you, simply contact us. Our team will help guide you to the safest and most appropriate option.
